I have been using We're There Pet Care since Maeve was 8 weeks old and she has a very special relationship with her walker, Gabe. I feel so thankful that my dog is in such competent and caring hands while I am away. I would highly recommend We're There to anyone looking for what ends up being much more than a dog walking service.

This testimonial has been a long time coming. I should have sent it to you more than a year ago when you first helped us come up with a solution of how best to handle two warring cats while we were away. Before we left, I telephoned Desi to ask for advice. We came up with a plan for keeping one of the cats in "his" room overnight (door closed) in order to avoid little piles of fur all over the house the next morning.
Of course I called a number of times while we were away, to check up on how things were going. My husband and I were greatly reassured by Desi's reports and were able to continue our vacation with clear consciences, that everyone was (relatively) happy. (While getting rid of one of the cats might have been an option for one of the cats, it wasn't for us.)
I can't say enough about the excellent care that We're There gives not only to the animals but also for providing peace of mind -- knowing that they're in the house, making sure everything is okay. We were one of We're There's first clients. I can't imagine a better, more caring company.

We're There Pet Care is the best! They have been caring for us since 1998, and we have always had terrific, loving, attentive au pairs! They're reliable, warm and friendly, and give us lots of pets (and the treats our Mom leaves out for us). We like that we have the same au pair for many months, as there is not a lot of turnover. We have been clients of We're There Pet Care since 1996. During the past 12 years, We're There has provided us with outstanding service. Desi and Nate work tirelessly to insure that their clients receive the best quality service possible. Our dogs are our family - so, we would never entrust them to anyone who we don't absolutely trust. As clients, we're high maintenance - we expect a lot and if we don't get what we want, we find a service provider who will meet our needs. We have to say, We're There is by far the best service provider who we have worked with throughout the past 12 years. They continue to exceed our expectations and take excellent care of our dogs. There are many reasons why we have remained with We're There for so long. Some of those reasons include: they are completely reliable - they're always on time, leave great notes, follow my instructions and keep in touch when needed; their dog walkers and sitters are carefully selected - they absolutely love animals (I'll never forget when one of our neighbors told us that our dog walker sang to and danced with one of our dogs when he walked her!); Desi and Nate do an excellent job of overseeing, educating, training and following-up with the dog walkers. I could go on and on about all of the reasons why we love We're There. But, I want to sum up this testimonial by saying that we had two older dogs who passed away in 2007. They both suffered from extended and painful illnesses. Throughout that horrible year, We're There was an integral part of our support and care team. Desi and Nate went out of their way to do everything they could to help us to care for our dogs and make the prolonged decline as peaceful and painless (for the dogs) as possible. At one point, Desi stopped by our house every other day to administer sub-cutaneous fluids to our dogs. Nate worked with us to administer a ton of medications - he did an excellent job of getting anorexic dogs to take their many, many pills. And, after Maddie and Pepper passed away, Desi and Nate were very supportive and checked in with us to see how we were doing. In February, when we told them that we were rescuing a new dog, they were more excited than we were! Throughout the past 8 months, as we welcomed our new dog and helped him to adjust to life in Chicago and at our home, Nate, Desi and Grant (our regular dog walker) have gone way out of their way to make sure that Oliver had the best transition possible - as behavioral issues with Oliver came up, they helped us to work through those issues and make Oliver as comfortable and happy as possible. To sum this all up, I believe that there is only one dog walking service worth considering in Chicago - We're There Pet Care.
